Our First Farmers Market Experience
There are moments in life that seem small from the outside but feel huge when you live them.
This weekend, Tatiana Hoge Kitchen participated in its very first farmers market in Fort Pierce, Florida.
The day started long before sunrise. Tables, display stands, baked goods, packaging, labels, and plenty of excitement were packed and ready to go. Like every small business owner, I wondered if people would stop by, if they would enjoy my products, and if all the hard work would be worth it.
As customers began walking through the market, something wonderful happened. People stopped. They asked questions. They sampled cookies, oreshki, granola, and mini bundt cakes. They shared stories, smiled, and encouraged me to keep going.
One of the biggest lessons from the day was discovering how much people appreciate homemade products made with care. Many visitors were interested not only in purchasing treats but also in learning the story behind Tatiana Hoge Kitchen.
The market was more than just a sales event. It was an opportunity to connect with the community, meet fellow vendors, and introduce my brand to people who had never heard of it before.
Of course, there were lessons learned. Every first market teaches you something new about product selection, display setup, customer preferences, and preparation. Those lessons will help make every future event even better.
Most importantly, this first market reminded me why I started Tatiana Hoge Kitchen in the first place: to share handmade treats, family recipes, and a little bit of joy with others.
